Alana Hirsh is a Montreal born, McGill and UBC trained family doctor. She has additional training and expertise in emergency medicine, addiction medicine, international health. She has practiced in a variety of locations, from inner cities to rural and remote areas from Eastern to Western Canada, Massachusetts, U.S.A, and West Africa. She currently lives in Vancouver, B.C, with her husband, 2 young kids, and dog. She has considered leaving medicine to pursue her passion for art and writing many times but simply loves being a doctor too much.
